Another triumph from LSL Capital. Samyukta Nair strikes again – this time with a Chinese dining experience just a stone’s throw from Green Park station.
Framed by its signature turquoise canopy and a handsome wooden door, MiMi Mei Fair sets the tone from the moment you arrive. Step inside and you’re welcomed with attentive, confident service – the kind that instantly makes you feel like you’re in good hands. It’s smooth, seamless, and sets the pace for what’s to come.
Opened in 2021, MiMi spans three thoughtfully designed floors of a Georgian townhouse. The ground floor buzzes with gentle energy, the first floor offers a more intimate setting with plush banquettes and softer lighting, and upstairs you’ll find private dining spaces perfect for a special celebration or discreet business lunch. The interiors draw inspiration from old-world China while embracing a clean, modern aesthetic – stylish, warm and unmistakably Mayfair.
MiMi Mei Fair forms part of the ever-expanding LSL Capital portfolio, a group that continues to redefine luxury dining in London with standout Indian, Asian, and Italian concepts. Off the back of its success in London, a second MiMi recently opened in Dubai – a clear indication that this isn’t just a local favourite, but a global name in the making.
And if the setting doesn’t win you over, the food certainly will.
This is the kind of menu that tempts you to order it all. MiMi is best enjoyed with a group, where sharing plates and table envy are all part of the fun. Among the starters, the Lantern Chicken is a must – golden, crisp, and expertly seasoned. The vegetable dim sum is a standout in its own right: colourful, well-balanced and full of flavour. The Salt and Pepper Tofu has that ideal melt-in-the-mouth texture, while the Peking Duck Bao is rich, soft, and gone in seconds. But the undisputed star of the show? The Roasted Cantonese Char Siu – sweet, smoky, perfectly glazed, and quite possibly one of the best versions of the dish in London.

The mains continue to impress.
The Egg Fried Rice may sound simple, but here it’s done with such precision it becomes memorable. Light, aromatic, and a perfect companion to everything else. The Singapore Chilli Prawns are generously sized and packed with bold, balanced flavour – just the right blend of heat and sweetness. The Sanpei Chicken, served bubbling in its clay pot, delivers warmth and depth, while the Braised Trio of Mushrooms brings a rich, earthy contrast.
For those who enjoy spice, the Mala Spicy Tofu lands with that classic Sichuan tingle – vibrant but never overpowering. The Baby Pak Choi provides a crisp, refreshing balance, and the Hakka Noodles tie everything together with their silky texture and savoury finish.
The atmosphere is just as much a part of the experience as the food.
Each floor offers something different, but the consistent thread throughout is the attention to detail. The design is considered and elegant – lacquered woods, soft lighting, and carefully chosen textures come together to create a space that feels effortlessly polished. Whether it’s an early evening dinner, a long lunch, or an occasion worth celebrating, MiMi adapts beautifully.
The service is quietly exceptional – intuitive, knowledgeable, and completely in tune with the room. Staff are well-informed, recommendations feel tailored rather than rehearsed, and the whole experience moves at a perfectly measured pace.
MiMi Mei Fair is a restaurant that gets everything right. From the setting to the service to the final spoonful, it delivers a dining experience that’s indulgent, vibrant, and always memorable.
An essential Mayfair address for food lovers with a soft spot for Asian delights.
