The Article

Not every unforgettable dining experience lives inside a restaurant. Sometimes, it arrives at your door. Imagine this, your favourite restaurant in the world, recreated entirely in your home. The lighting, the music, even the tablecloths. A chef you’ve followed for years, suddenly in your kitchen. A table set like a film scene. A DJ playing softly in the background.

With Ellidore, it’s not just about booking a table. It’s about building a moment. One night you’re hosting a long, lazy dinner on the beach, toes in the sand, seafood straight off the grill. Next, you’ve taken a helicopter into wine country, landing in a private vineyard where a Michelin-starred chef is waiting just for you. Or maybe it’s simpler. A beautifully curated dinner at your home. Candlelight. Champagne is perfectly chilled. Exactly as you imagined it.

No reservations. No limits. Just possibility. But there’s still something undeniably special about the private dining rooms that started it all. The hidden spaces. The ones you don’t stumble into - you curate them, because you’re in the know.

LONDON

Let’s start with London. At Kioku by Endo in Whitehall, The Turret feels almost unreal. Set inside one of The OWO’s historic turrets, it’s a small, circular space with uninterrupted views stretching across London. It’s intimate, but not in a quiet way. Japanese precision on the plate, the city glowing around you. This is where you go when the occasion calls for something elevated. Personally, I think it’s one of the most unique private dining spots in London.

Then there’s 42, Gymkhana’s speakeasy-style private space, tucked just beside the restaurant with its own entrance in Mayfair. A completely different mood. Warmer. Richer. The private dining room leans into that signature Gymkhana atmosphere, but you have it entirely to yourselves - dark woods, deep tones, a sense of heritage that feels both relaxed and refined. It’s built for groups. For sharing. For dinners that start composed and end a little louder.

NEW YORK

New York, of course, brings its own, slightly more exclusive take on private dining. At The Polo Bar, the Equestrian Room is iconic for a reason. Dark panelling, equestrian details, low lighting - it’s classic, and unmistakably New York. The kind of space that works every time, whether it’s a corporate dinner or a celebration with loved ones.

And then there’s The Pool at The Grill NYC. A true staple. It delivers scale without losing intimacy. Grand, but never overwhelming. This is where you go big - perfect for larger parties or brand-led events that automatically gain impact.

DUBAI

Dubai takes a different approach entirely. Here, it’s all about the glamour. At The Guild, there are various private dining rooms, all sleek, modern, and designed with flexibility in mind. Whether it’s an intimate dinner or a larger standing reception, the spaces cater to groups of different sizes, making it easy to scale the experience depending on the occasion. It’s polished, considered, and ideal for grand dinners that feel effortlessly put together.

Each of these spaces offers something distinct. Different cities, different moods, different reasons for bringing people together. But the idea is always the same. A setting that makes it all feel just a little more special.
