This is how most of our initial conversations form, around feeling – why do I feel this way, how to feel that way, I want to feel like this. These conversations help us form an understanding of your taste, style and preference. Then, with this information, our team of experts have the tools they need to curate the best experiences for you. With information they gathered through conversational research that you didn’t realise was taking place, and the outcome, knowing what you want before you speak with us – what a feeling.
The Request
We started thinking about ‘feelings’ as a discovery mechanism because we noticed something – our members always knew what they wanted to feel, even when they couldn’t articulate it. And it’s our responsibility to show them what’s possible with that feeling in mind.
The hardest part isn’t knowing, it’s articulating. It’s thinking through the problem in the first place – what does a rested weekend away need to be? What does renewed looked like as an outfit? What does extraordinary feel like as an experience? How do I feel togetherness when spending time with my family?
Most membership relationships skip this step; they jump straight into options – Here are our best five hotels. Here is our best stylist. Here are our favourite restaurants. The missing part here is leaving the decision up to you to work out for yourself. You are still solving the problem, so what is the point in having a membership when you, in reality are still doing the heavy lifting.
At Ellidore, we work backwards. By allowing the feeling you want to feel, become the core aspect of our research, then our suggestion is built directly from the root of your request.
When you’re planning a trip, usually there is an emotional outcome, do I want to relax? Do I seek adventure? When you think about a meal, the first thing you consider probably is the vibe, what do I want to feel when I sit down? When you’re getting ready in the morning, the question is never “will this fit?” It’s something like how do I want to feel today? What vibe do I want to give?
This is where the conversation starts.
